WHY MASSAGE?

I love working with people and working with my body – hands on. Therapeutic massage provides an opportunity to do this every day. I learn from every interaction. Facilitating positive changes and (re)connections for clients is deeply gratifying and motivates me to continually add to my skill set.

I have struggled to feel comfortable in my own body throughout my life. I stumbled upon massage after sharing bodywork with coworkers during my time on a trail work crew. My education at the San Francisco School of Massage and Bodywork opened me up to the fascinating world that is the human body. I couldn’t believe how little I knew about my own body despite living with a chronic illness, studying dance, doing physical labor, and living an active outdoor lifestyle!

Therapeutic massage has led me to know and love my body and decrease my pain and discomfort. I am energized and excited about the world of bodywork, healing, and helping others. There is so much to learn and explore!

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS

My work is supported by over 900 hours of education at the San Francisco School of Massage and Bodywork and the National Holistic Institute’s Advanced Neruomuscular Therapy Program in Emeryville. In 2023 I became certified in McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release®, or MSTR®. It is a highly effective and gentle treatment for working with many types of scar tissue.

I am a professional member of ABMP, and a Certified Massage Therapist with the State of California #46636.

I have an undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis where I studied Cultural Anthropology. I am fascinated by the way our culture affects our connection with our bodies, health, and healing. I also have personal experience working with trauma somatically, and bring a trauma informed lens and many powerful tools when working with all my clients.

As a lifelong learner, I support clients as fellow travelers on the path to better self-care, healing, and flourishing in our bodies. I take courses, read books and blogs, listen to podcasts, and seek out new research to deepen my skills and knowledge of massage and health. I plan to share my discoveries with you in my blog!

MOVEMENT

I believe in the phrase, “if you don’t use it, you lose it.” To feel good in your body and for massage to be effective, you must move. As a practitioner I constantly explore movement and I know that it’s possible to build fun and playful movement into everyday life.

I am a certified Level 1 MovNat instructor. I regularly suggest movement practices and exercises to support your bodywork goals.

INTUITIVE HEALING

My effectiveness as a massage therapist is enhanced by a daily meditation practice that clarifies my intuition. I aspire to meet you wherever you are to support you to get the massage you want.

I am a Reverend and graduate from a two year energy mediation program at Psychic Horizons. To learn more about my intuitive healing offerings, read this post.

MY JOY

I am a mama to a joyful son, Mateo, and sweet dog, Nala. I am a seeker of new ways to

live and to heal. I spend my free time hiking, gardening, camping, cooking, and dancing with my partner and friends. I appreciate simplicity in complexity. I value clear communication, connection with nature, investment in community, and supporting justice.
